ERIN BORBET (formerly, Hessel), Founder of Grow Wellness Acupuncture, is a licensed practitioner in the fields of Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine and Doula Services. Her practice is currently located at the Berkley Center and Erin is a proud Berkley Affiliate. With over 10 years of clinical experience in the field, including a 12-month rotation at a TCM hospital in China, Erin has a particular expertise in the treatment of Women’s Health, Prenatal Acupuncture and Pediatrics.
Erin completed her four-year Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine from the world-renowned Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM), wherein she interned at the following locations: The Initiative For Women With Disabilites at NYU Medical Center and The Manhattan VA Hospital. Erin has also held one-year clinical internships, respectively, at the Berkley Center for Reproductive Health and at the Zhejiang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Hangzhou, China. Additionally, she has 2 years experience as an apprentice and herbal pharmacy management at the China Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Minnesota with Dr. Zuoling Ren.
Prior to securing her Master’s degree, Erin received a Bachelor’s Degree in Complementary Medicine at Long Island University, wherein she traveled extensively studying local healing modalities in Peru, China, Tibet, and Central America. Additionally, Erin has secured her 500-Hour Certificate in Yoga Instructors Training, is a DONA Trained Labor Doula and has three-years experience as a Surgical Assistant in Reproductive Therapy. Erin also serves as a board member for The Complimentary and Alternative Medicine Initiative (CAMI), a non-profit organization bringing sustainable health care to under-served communities around the world.
